Planning

Every morning you know what to prepare to deliver on time

KoreLab Planning starts from your customers' orders and tells you what you have to deliver and when, how much to produce net of what you already have in stock, and — going down the bill of materials — how many kg of dough and semi-finished items you need and whether raw materials and packaging are enough.

In short: no more adding up the week's orders by hand. The numbers come from the orders, delivery notes and lots you already record in KoreLab, and they take expiry dates into account: a lot that expires before the delivery does not cover it.

Planning is included in the Business plan, together with the customer and supplier orders it reads from. Free, Starter, Qualità and Pro do not include it.

The problem with planning by hand

Anyone who produces to deliver does it every day: gathers the orders, checks the warehouse, works through the recipe. And starts over every time.

Orders are added up by hand

Ten orders, five customers, different dates: the total per product and per day gets rebuilt on a sheet, and one forgotten order is enough to get production wrong.

Stock is left out of the count

How much do you already have ready, and until when is it good? Without looking at lots and their expiry dates you produce twice as much, or find out at the last minute that the lot in the cold room expires before the delivery.

From pack to dough is a long calculation

The packs to make become kg of dough, then semi-finished items, then raw materials and packaging, each with its own processing loss. Doing it by hand every day is where mistakes are born.

You notice when it runs out

Flour or cartons run out on the day you need them. Knowing in advance what is missing, and how much, is the difference between a supplier order and a missed delivery.

What you can do

Two views, one after the other: first what to deliver, then what to prepare to make it.

To deliver, day by day

For each product, how much you have to deliver: one column per day in the first week, then per week, with overdue deliveries and orders without a date. Choose the horizon — 7, 14, 30 days or all — and search a product by name.

How much to produce, net of stock

Next to each product, the usable stock — released, non-expired lots — and the «to produce», with the date of the first uncovered delivery. Lots expiring sooner are used first.

Where every number comes from

Tap a row to see the orders it is made of, with customer, delivery date and quantity. Only what is still to be delivered counts: whatever already left with a delivery note is no longer counted.

To prepare: the recipe does the maths

The packs to make, the dough kg grossed up by the weight loss, doughs and semi-finished items net of those already in stock, and raw materials and packaging — cartons included — with their coverage: covered, only with quarantine and incoming, or how much is missing.

Start production already filled in

From a dough or packing row, «Start production» opens the form with the recipe and kg, or the product and packs, already entered. It saves nothing on its own: you check and press Save yourself.

Fitted to your workshop

Lead days for dough and semi-finished items, Saturday as a working day, rounding to whole recipe batches, and grouping by recipe to see together every pack to make from the same dough. Export the production sheet and the shopping list as CSV.

What Planning does and what it does not

So you know exactly what to count on.

AspectWith KoreLabWhat it is NOT
What it readsCustomer orders, delivery notes and lots you already record in KoreLabIt writes nothing: it is a read-only view
DatesThe last useful day for dough, packing and semi-finished itemsNot a requirement: an «at the latest» suggestion, produce whenever you like
Missing dataFlagged separately: pack weight, recipe, weight loss, «as needed» linesIt makes up no numbers: a line without data stays out of the totals
Production and purchasingPre-filled production and a CSV of raw materials and packaging to buyIt does not record production or send supplier orders on its own
CapacityQuantities and dates from orders and recipesIt does not schedule machines, shifts or plant capacity
Planning is as useful as the data it reads is complete: orders with a delivery date, products with a pack weight and a recipe, lots loaded in the warehouse. Until the warehouse is loaded, stock and «to produce» show a dash — not a zero.

Frequently asked questions

Where does Planning take its numbers from? +
From confirmed, in-preparation or partial customer orders, only for the part still to be delivered: whatever already left with a delivery note of the order is no longer counted. Stock comes from released, non-expired finished-product lots. The page only reads: it writes nothing.
Does it take lot expiry dates into account? +
Yes. A lot that expires before a delivery does not cover it, and lots expiring sooner are used first. Expired lots still in stock and lots awaiting release do not cover deliveries, and the product detail tells you how many there are.
Does it create production runs or supplier orders on its own? +
No. «Start production» opens Production or Packing already filled in with the recipe and kg, or the product and pack count, but it saves nothing: you check the data and press Save yourself. For purchasing you download the list of raw materials and packaging to buy as a CSV.
What happens if some data is missing, like the pack weight? +
The line stays separate, flagged as missing data or «to check», and is left out of the totals. KoreLab does not make up a number: it tells you what is missing, so you can fix it in the product sheet or the recipe.
Is Planning included in my plan? +
It is a feature of the Business plan (€49.90/month · €499/year, -25% Early Adopter), which also includes the customer and supplier orders Planning reads from. Free, Starter, Qualità and Pro do not include it.
